5. TENTH INTERNATIONAL TALMUD CYCLE CONCLUDED
The conclusion of a world-wide study cycle of the Talmud will be
commemorated tonight in Yad Eliyahu Stadium in Tel Aviv.  Leading
rabbis from all over the country will be in attendance, together with
thousands of Jews who participated in the daily study sessions.  The
event will be broadcast live on Arutz-7 beginning at 7 PM tonight, and
will be aired via satellite to Europe and the United States.  Rabbi
Yehuda Leib Shteiman will conclude the last page of the Talmud
tonight, following which Rabbi Shmuel HaLevi will begin the first page
of the next cycle.  Hassidic musical interludes will grace the event. 
This is the tenth time that the Talmud has been concluded by many
thousands of Jews the world over, all studying the same page on the
same day, since Rabbi Meir Shapiro of Lublin instituted the study
cycle 73 years ago.
