EXODUS 16:1
JPS 16:1 And they took their journey from Elim, and all the congregation of the children of Israel came unto the wilderness of Sin, which is between Elim and Sinai, on the fifteenth day of the second month after their departing out of the land of Egypt.
ONK 16:1 And they journeyed from Elim, and came, the whole assembly of the sons of Israel, to the desert of Sin, which is between Elim and Sinai, on the fifteenth day of the second month from their outgoing from the land of Mizraim.
PAL 16:1 And the whole congregation of Israel journeyed from Elim, and came to the desert of Sin, which is between Elim and Sinai, on the fifteenth day of the month of Ijar, the second month from their going forth from the land of Mizraim. And on that day the bread which they had brought out of Mizraim was finished.

EXODUS 16:2
JPS 16:2 And the whole congregation of the children of Israel murmured against Moses and against Aaron in the wilderness;
ONK 16:2 And all the congregation of the children of Israel were troublous against Mosheh and against Aharon in the desert;
PAL 16:2 And all the sons of Israel grumbled against Mosheh and against Aharon in the desert.

EXODUS 16:3
JPS 16:3 and the children of Israel said unto them: 'Would that we had died by the hand of the LORD in the land of Egypt, when we sat by the flesh-pots, when we did eat bread to the full; for ye have brought us forth into this wilderness, to kill this whole assembly with hunger.'
ONK 16:3 and the children of Israel said to them, that we had died before the Lord in the land of Mizraim, when we sat by the caldrons of flesh, and could eat bread and be satisfied! Why have you brought us out into this wilderness to kill this whole assembly with famine?
PAL 16:3 And the sons of Israel said to them, Would that we had died by the Word of the Lord in the land of Mizraim, when we sat by the cisterns of meat, and ate bread and had enough! Why hast thou brought us out into this wilderness to kill all this congregation with hunger?

EXODUS 16:4
JPS 16:4 Then said the LORD unto Moses: 'Behold, I will cause to rain bread from heaven for you; and the people shall go out and gather a day's portion every day, that I may prove them, whether they will walk in My law, or not.
ONK 16:4 And the Lord said to Mosheh, Behold, I will cause bread to come down to you from heaven; and the people shall go out and collect the matter of the day for the day; that I may prove them whether they will walk in My law, or not.
PAL 16:4 And the Lord said to Mosheh, Behold, I will cause the bread which hath been laid up for you from the beginning to descend from heaven: and the people shall go out and gather the matter of a day by the day, that I may try them whether they will keep the commandments of My law or not.

EXODUS 16:5
JPS 16:5 And it shall come to pass on the sixth day that they shall prepare that which they bring in, and it shall be twice as much as they gather daily.'
ONK 16:5 And in the sixth day, when they prepare that which they bring in, it shall be two for one upon what they collect from day to day.
PAL 16:5 And on the sixth day they shall prepare what they set before them to eat on the day of the Sabbath; and they shall mix in the houses and communicate in their dwellings, so that by carrying this to that, they may have double of that which they gather from day to day.

JPS 16:6 And Moses and Aaron said unto all the children of Israel: 'At even, then ye shall know that the LORD hath brought you out from the land of Egypt;
ONK 16:6 And Mosheh and Aharon said to all the children of Israel, In the evening you shall know that the Lord brought you out of the land of Mizraim,

JPS 16:7 and in the morning, then ye shall see the glory of the LORD; for that He hath heard your murmurings against the LORD; and what are we, that ye murmur against us?
ONK 16:7 and in the morning shall you see the Glory of the Lord; for your tumults are heard before the Lord: and we—what, that you are restive against us?

EXODUS 16:8
JPS 16:8 And Moses said: 'This shall be, when the LORD shall give you in the evening flesh to eat, and in the morning bread to the full; for that the LORD heareth your murmurings which ye murmur against Him; and what are we? your murmurings are not against us, but against the LORD.'
ONK 16:8 And Mosheh said, When the Lord will give you at evening flesh to eat, and bread in the morning to satisfy, while are heard before the Lord your tumults against Him! For what are we? your tumults are not against us, but against the Word of the Lord.
PAL 16:8 And Mosheh said, By this you shall know, when the Lord prepareth you at evening flesh to eat, and in the morning bread to satisfy, that your complainings wherewith you complain against Him are heard before the Lord. And we, what are we accounted? Your complaints are not against us, but against the Word of the Lord.

EXODUS 16:9
JPS 16:9 And Moses said unto Aaron: 'Say unto all the congregation of the children of Israel: Come near before the LORD; for He hath heard your murmurings.'
ONK 16:9 And Mosheh said to Aharon, Bid all the congregation of the sons of Israel to come together before the Lord; for your tumult is heard before the Lord.⁽³⁴⁾ 34. Other copies, "before Him."
PAL 16:9 And Mosheh said to Aharon, Bid all the congregation of the sons of Israel draw nigh before the Lord; for your murmurings are heard before Him.

EXODUS 16:10
JPS 16:10 And it came to pass, as Aaron spoke unto the whole congregation of the children of Israel, that they looked toward the wilderness, and, behold, the glory of the LORD appeared in the cloud.
ONK 16:10 And it was, while Aharon was speaking with all the congregation of the sons of Israel, that they turned towards the desert, and, behold, the glory of the Lord was revealed in the cloud.
PAL 16:10 And it was while Aharon was speaking with all the congregation of Israel that they turned towards the desert, and, behold, the glory of the majesty of the Lord was revealed in the cloud of glory.

JPS 16:11 And the LORD spoke unto Moses, saying:

JPS 16:12 'I have heard the murmurings of the children of Israel. Speak unto them, saying: At dusk ye shall eat flesh, and in the morning ye shall be filled with bread; and ye shall know that I am the LORD your God.'
ONK 16:12 The tumult of the children of Israel is heard before Me. Speak with them to say, Between the evenings you shall eat flesh, and in the morning be satisfied with bread, and you shall know that I am the Lord your God.
PAL 16:12 Hearing I have heard the murmurings of the sons of Israel before Me. Speak thou with them, saying, Between the evenings (suns) you shall eat flesh, and in the morning shall you eat bread, and shall know that I am the Lord your God.

JPS 16:13 And it came to pass at even, that the quails came up, and covered the camp; and in the morning there was a layer of dew round about the camp.

EXODUS 16:14
JPS 16:14 And when the layer of dew was gone up, behold upon the face of the wilderness a fine, scale-like thing, fine as the hoar-frost on the ground.
ONK 16:14 and when the dew which had fallen had gone up, behold, upon the face of the desert, a small (substance) without covering,⁽³⁵⁾ small like hoar frost,⁽³⁶⁾ 36. Samaritan Version, "ashes." heaped on the earth.
PAL 16:14 and the clouds ascended and caused manna to descend upon the dew; and there was upon the face of the desert a minute (substance) in lines,⁽¹⁹⁾ 19. Mesargal. minute as the hoar frost upon the ground.

EXODUS 16:15
JPS 16:15 And when the children of Israel saw it, they said one to another: 'What is it?'—for they knew not what it was. And Moses said unto them: 'It is the bread which the LORD hath given you to eat.
ONK 16:15 And the sons of Israel saw, and said, a man to his brother, Mana-hu! for they knew not what it was. And Mosheh said to them, This is the bread which the Lord will give you to eat.
PAL 16:15 And the sons of Israel beheld, and wondered, and said, a man to his companion, Man Hu?⁽²⁰⁾ 20. "What is it?" for they knew not what it was. And Mosheh said to them, It is the bread which hath been laid up for you from the beginning in the heavens on high, and now the Lord will give it you to eat.

EXODUS 16:16
JPS 16:16 This is the thing which the LORD hath commanded: Gather ye of it every man according to his eating; an omer a head, according to the number of your persons, shall ye take it, every man for them that are in his tent.'
ONK 16:16 This is the word that the Lord hath commanded: Let every man gather of it according to his eating⁽³⁷⁾ 37. Or, "the mouth of his eating." an omera for every head according to the number of your souls, a man for those of his tent shall you take.
PAL 16:16 This is the word which the Lord hath dictated: You are to gather of it, every man according to the number of your souls; every man according to the mouth of the number of the persons of his tabernacle, are you to take.

JPS 16:17 And the children of Israel did so, and gathered some more, some less.
ONK 16:17 And the sons of Israel did so, and gathered, some more, (others) less;
PAL 16:17 And the sons of Israel did so, and gathered manna more or less;

JPS 16:18 And when they did mete it with an omer, he that gathered much had nothing over, and he that gathered little had no lack; they gathered every man according to his eating.
ONK 16:18 and they measured with an omera,—and he who had (gathered) much had not more, and he who had (gathered) little had not less; every man according to his eating⁽³⁸⁾ 38. Or, "the mouth of his eating." they gathered.
PAL 16:18 but when they measured by the homer, nothing remained above the measure of him who had gathered much; and he who had gathered little, wanted nothing of the measure: every man according to the mouth of his eating, so they gathered.

EXODUS 16:19
JPS 16:19 And Moses said unto them: 'Let no man leave of it till the morning.'
ONK 16:19 And Mosheh said to them, No man must leave of it for the morning.
PAL 16:19 And Mosheh said to them, Let no man make a reserve of it till the morning.

EXODUS 16:20
JPS 16:20 Notwithstanding they hearkened not unto Moses; but some of them left of it until the morning, and it bred worms, and rotted; and Moses was wroth with them.
ONK 16:20 But they hearkened not to Mosheh, but some left for the morning, and it swarmed worms and corrupted. And Mosheh was angry with them.
PAL 16:20 But (some of them) hearkened not to Mosheh: Dathan and Abiram, men of wickedness, did reserve of it till the morning; but it produced worms and putrefied; and Mosheh was angry with them.

EXODUS 16:21
JPS 16:21 And they gathered it morning by morning, every man according to his eating; and as the sun waxed hot, it melted.
ONK 16:21 And they gathered it from morning to morning a man according to his eating; and when the sun grew hot on that which remained upon the face of the field, it melted.
PAL 16:21 And they gathered from the time of the dawn until the fourth hour of the day, every man according to his eating; but at the fourth hour, when the sun, had waxed hot upon it, it liquefied, and made streams of water, which flowed away into the Great Sea; and wild animals that were clean, and cattle, came to drink of it, and the sons of Israel hunted, and ate them.

EXODUS 16:22
JPS 16:22 And it came to pass that on the sixth day they gathered twice as much bread, two omers for each one; and all the rulers of the congregation came and told Moses.
ONK 16:22 And it was that on the sixth day they gathered a double (quantity) of bread,⁽³⁹⁾ 39. Or, "bread for one, two." two omers for one: and all the chiefs of the congregation came and showed Mosheh.
PAL 16:22 And it came to pass on the sixth day they gathered double bread, two homers a man; and all the princes of the congregation came and told Mosheh.

EXODUS 16:23
JPS 16:23 And he said unto them: 'This is that which the LORD hath spoken: To-morrow is a solemn rest, a holy sabbath unto the LORD. Bake that which ye will bake, and seethe that which ye will seethe; and all that remaineth over lay up for you to be kept until the morning.'
ONK 16:23 And he said to them, Tomorrow is the rest of the holy Shabbath before the Lord. That which you prepare by baking, bake, and that which you prepare by boiling, boil, and all the remainder lay up to you, a store for the morning.
PAL 16:23 And Mosheh said to them, This which the Lord hath told you, do. Tomorrow is the rest of the holy Sabbath before the Lord: That which is needful to have to bake for tomorrow, bake today; and what is needful to boil for tomorrow, boil today: and all whatever remaineth of that which you eat today lay it up, and it shall be preserved until the morning.

EXODUS 16:24
JPS 16:24 And they laid it up till the morning, as Moses bade; and it did not rot, neither was there any worm therein.
ONK 16:24 And they laid it up till the morning, as Mosheh had instructed; and it did not corrupt, neither were there worms in it
PAL 16:24 And they laid it up until the morning, as Mosheh had directed them; and it did not corrupt, and no worm was in it.

EXODUS 16:25
JPS 16:25 And Moses said: 'Eat that to-day; for to-day is a sabbath unto the LORD; to-day ye shall not find it in the field.
ONK 16:25 And Mosheh said, Eat that today, for this day is Shabbath before the Lord; this day you would not find it in the field.
PAL 16:25 And Mosheh said to them, Eat today, because this is the Sabbath day before the Lord. This day you will not find any in the field.

JPS 16:26 Six days ye shall gather it; but on the seventh day is the sabbath, in it there shall be none.'

ONK 16:29 See, because the Lord hath given you the Shabbath He hath therefore given you on the sixth day the bread for two days; let every man dwell in his resting, and not go out from his place on the seventh day.

JPS 16:32 And Moses said: 'This is the thing which the LORD hath commanded: Let an omerful of it be kept throughout your generations; that they may see the bread wherewith I fed you in the wilderness, when I brought you forth from the land of Egypt.'
ONK 16:32 And Mosheh said, This is the word which the Lord hath commanded. Fill an omera of it to be kept for your generations, that they may see the bread which I made you eat in the desert when I brought you forth from the land of Mizraim.
PAL 16:32 And Mosheh said, This is the thing which the Lord hath commanded—to lay up of it a homer-full to keep in your generations; that perverse generations may see the bread which you have eaten in the wilderness, in your coming forth out of the land of Mizraim.

JPS 16:33 And Moses said unto Aaron: 'Take a jar, and put an omerful of manna therein, and lay it up before the LORD, to be kept throughout your generations.'

JPS	16:12	'I have heard the murmurings of the children of Israel. Speak unto them, saying: At dusk ye shall eat flesh, and in the morning ye shall be filled with bread; and ye shall know that I am the LORD your God.'
ONK	16:12	The tumult of the children of Israel is heard before Me. Speak with them to say, Between the evenings you shall eat flesh, and in the morning be satisfied with bread, and you shall know that I am the Lord your God.
PAL	16:12	Hearing I have heard the murmurings of the sons of Israel before Me. Speak thou with them, saying, Between the evenings (suns) you shall eat flesh, and in the morning shall you eat bread, and shall know that I am the Lord your God.


EXODUS 16:13
JPS	16:13	And it came to pass at even, that the quails came up, and covered the camp; and in the morning there was a layer of dew round about the camp.
ONK	16:13	And it was in the evening that the quails came up and covered the camp; and in the morning a dew descended round about the camp;
PAL	16:13	And it came to pass, that in the evening the pheasants⁽¹⁸⁾ 18. Phisyonin. came up and covered the camp; and in the morning there was a fall of holy dew, prepared as a table, round about the camp:


EXODUS 16:14
JPS	16:14	And when the layer of dew was gone up, behold upon the face of the wilderness a fine, scale-like thing, fine as the hoar-frost on the ground.
ONK	16:14	and when the dew which had fallen had gone up, behold, upon the face of the desert, a small (substance) without covering,⁽³⁵⁾ small like hoar frost,⁽³⁶⁾ 36. Samaritan Version, "ashes." heaped on the earth.
PAL	16:14	and the clouds ascended and caused manna to descend upon the dew; and there was upon the face of the desert a minute (substance) in lines,⁽¹⁹⁾ 19. Mesargal. minute as the hoar frost upon the ground.
JER	16:14	As hoar frost.

EXODUS 16:15
JPS	16:15	And when the children of Israel saw it, they said one to another: 'What is it?'—for they knew not what it was. And Moses said unto them: 'It is the bread which the LORD hath given you to eat.
ONK	16:15	And the sons of Israel saw, and said, a man to his brother, Mana-hu! for they knew not what it was. And Mosheh said to them, This is the bread which the Lord will give you to eat.
PAL	16:15	And the sons of Israel beheld, and wondered, and said, a man to his companion, Man Hu?⁽²⁰⁾ 20. "What is it?" for they knew not what it was. And Mosheh said to them, It is the bread which hath been laid up for you from the beginning in the heavens on high, and now the Lord will give it you to eat.


EXODUS 16:16
JPS	16:16	This is the thing which the LORD hath commanded: Gather ye of it every man according to his eating; an omer a head, according to the number of your persons, shall ye take it, every man for them that are in his tent.'
ONK	16:16	This is the word that the Lord hath commanded: Let every man gather of it according to his eating⁽³⁷⁾ 37. Or, "the mouth of his eating." an omera for every head according to the number of your souls, a man for those of his tent shall you take.
PAL	16:16	This is the word which the Lord hath dictated: You are to gather of it, every man according to the number of your souls; every man according to the mouth of the number of the persons of his tabernacle, are you to take.


EXODUS 16:17
JPS	16:17	And the children of Israel did so, and gathered some more, some less.
ONK	16:17	And the sons of Israel did so, and gathered, some more, (others) less;
PAL	16:17	And the sons of Israel did so, and gathered manna more or less;


EXODUS 16:18
JPS	16:18	And when they did mete it with an omer, he that gathered much had nothing over, and he that gathered little had no lack; they gathered every man according to his eating.
ONK	16:18	and they measured with an omera,—and he who had (gathered) much had not more, and he who had (gathered) little had not less; every man according to his eating⁽³⁸⁾ 38. Or, "the mouth of his eating." they gathered.
PAL	16:18	but when they measured by the homer, nothing remained above the measure of him who had gathered much; and he who had gathered little, wanted nothing of the measure: every man according to the mouth of his eating, so they gathered.


EXODUS 16:19
JPS	16:19	And Moses said unto them: 'Let no man leave of it till the morning.'
ONK	16:19	And Mosheh said to them, No man must leave of it for the morning.
PAL	16:19	And Mosheh said to them, Let no man make a reserve of it till the morning.


EXODUS 16:20
JPS	16:20	Notwithstanding they hearkened not unto Moses; but some of them left of it until the morning, and it bred worms, and rotted; and Moses was wroth with them.
ONK	16:20	But they hearkened not to Mosheh, but some left for the morning, and it swarmed worms and corrupted. And Mosheh was angry with them.
PAL	16:20	But (some of them) hearkened not to Mosheh: Dathan and Abiram, men of wickedness, did reserve of it till the morning; but it produced worms and putrefied; and Mosheh was angry with them.


EXODUS 16:21
JPS	16:21	And they gathered it morning by morning, every man according to his eating; and as the sun waxed hot, it melted.
ONK	16:21	And they gathered it from morning to morning a man according to his eating; and when the sun grew hot on that which remained upon the face of the field, it melted.
PAL	16:21	And they gathered from the time of the dawn until the fourth hour of the day, every man according to his eating; but at the fourth hour, when the sun, had waxed hot upon it, it liquefied, and made streams of water, which flowed away into the Great Sea; and wild animals that were clean, and cattle, came to drink of it, and the sons of Israel hunted, and ate them.
JER	16:21	Became as streams

EXODUS 16:22
JPS	16:22	And it came to pass that on the sixth day they gathered twice as much bread, two omers for each one; and all the rulers of the congregation came and told Moses.
ONK	16:22	And it was that on the sixth day they gathered a double (quantity) of bread,⁽³⁹⁾ 39. Or, "bread for one, two." two omers for one: and all the chiefs of the congregation came and showed Mosheh.
PAL	16:22	And it came to pass on the sixth day they gathered double bread, two homers a man; and all the princes of the congregation came and told Mosheh.


EXODUS 16:23
JPS	16:23	And he said unto them: 'This is that which the LORD hath spoken: To-morrow is a solemn rest, a holy sabbath unto the LORD. Bake that which ye will bake, and seethe that which ye will seethe; and all that remaineth over lay up for you to be kept until the morning.'
ONK	16:23	And he said to them, Tomorrow is the rest of the holy Shabbath before the Lord. That which you prepare by baking, bake, and that which you prepare by boiling, boil, and all the remainder lay up to you, a store for the morning.
PAL	16:23	And Mosheh said to them, This which the Lord hath told you, do. Tomorrow is the rest of the holy Sabbath before the Lord: That which is needful to have to bake for tomorrow, bake today; and what is needful to boil for tomorrow, boil today: and all whatever remaineth of that which you eat today lay it up, and it shall be preserved until the morning.


EXODUS 16:24
JPS	16:24	And they laid it up till the morning, as Moses bade; and it did not rot, neither was there any worm therein.
ONK	16:24	And they laid it up till the morning, as Mosheh had instructed; and it did not corrupt, neither were there worms in it
PAL	16:24	And they laid it up until the morning, as Mosheh had directed them; and it did not corrupt, and no worm was in it.


EXODUS 16:25
JPS	16:25	And Moses said: 'Eat that to-day; for to-day is a sabbath unto the LORD; to-day ye shall not find it in the field.
ONK	16:25	And Mosheh said, Eat that today, for this day is Shabbath before the Lord; this day you would not find it in the field.
PAL	16:25	And Mosheh said to them, Eat today, because this is the Sabbath day before the Lord. This day you will not find any in the field.


EXODUS 16:26
JPS	16:26	Six days ye shall gather it; but on the seventh day is the sabbath, in it there shall be none.'
ONK	16:26	Six days you shall collect it; but on the seventh day, the Shabbath, there will be none.
PAL	16:26	Six days you shall gather, but on the seventh day, which is the Sabbath, no manna will come down.


EXODUS 16:27
JPS	16:27	And it came to pass on the seventh day, that there went out some of the people to gather, and they found none
ONK	16:27	And it was on the seventh day that some of the people went out to gather, but they found it not.
PAL	16:27	And it was that on the seventh day some of the wicked of the people went forth to gather manna, but they found none.


EXODUS 16:28
JPS	16:28	And the LORD said unto Moses: 'How long refuse ye to keep My commandments and My laws?
ONK	16:28	And the Lord said to Mosheh, How long will you be unwilling to keep My commandments and My laws?
PAL	16:28	And the Lord said to Mosheh, How long will ye refuse to keep My commandments and My laws?


EXODUS 16:29
JPS	16:29	See that the LORD hath given you the sabbath; therefore He giveth you on the sixth day the bread of two days; abide ye every man in his place, let no man go out of his place on the seventh clay.'
ONK	16:29	See, because the Lord hath given you the Shabbath He hath therefore given you on the sixth day the bread for two days; let every man dwell in his resting, and not go out from his place on the seventh day.
PAL	16:29	Behold, because I have given you the Sabbath, I gave you on the sixth day bread for two days. Let every man abide in his place, and not wander from one locality to another, beyond four yards;⁽²¹⁾ 21. Garmidee. nor let any man go forth to walk beyond two thousand yards on the seventh day;


EXODUS 16:30
JPS	16:30	So the people rested on the seventh day.
ONK	16:30	And the people reposed on the seventh day.
PAL	16:30	for the people shall repose on the seventh day.


EXODUS 16:31
JPS	16:31	And the house of Israel called the name thereof Manna; and it was like coriander seed, white; and the taste of it was like wafers made with honey
ONK	16:31	And the house of Israel called the name of it Manna; and it was as the seed of Gida⁽⁴⁰⁾ white, and its taste was like cake broiled with honey.
PAL	16:31	And the house of Israel called the name of it Manna; and it was like the seed of coriander,⁽²²⁾ 22. Kusebar. white, and the taste of it like preparations of honey.
JER	16:31	Like the seed of coriander, and the taste of it like confections of honey.

EXODUS 16:32
JPS	16:32	And Moses said: 'This is the thing which the LORD hath commanded: Let an omerful of it be kept throughout your generations; that they may see the bread wherewith I fed you in the wilderness, when I brought you forth from the land of Egypt.'
ONK	16:32	And Mosheh said, This is the word which the Lord hath commanded. Fill an omera of it to be kept for your generations, that they may see the bread which I made you eat in the desert when I brought you forth from the land of Mizraim.
PAL	16:32	And Mosheh said, This is the thing which the Lord hath commanded—to lay up of it a homer-full to keep in your generations; that perverse generations may see the bread which you have eaten in the wilderness, in your coming forth out of the land of Mizraim.


EXODUS 16:33
JPS	16:33	And Moses said unto Aaron: 'Take a jar, and put an omerful of manna therein, and lay it up before the LORD, to be kept throughout your generations.'
ONK	16:33	And Mosheh said to Aharon, Take one vase, and put therein an omera full of manna, and lay it up before the Lord to be preserved for your generations.
PAL	16:33	And Mosheh said to Aharon, Take one earthen vase, and put therein a full homera of manna, and lay it up before the Lord to be kept unto your generations.


EXODUS 16:34
JPS	16:34	As the LORD commanded Moses, so Aaron laid it up before the Testimony, to be kept.
ONK	16:34	As the Lord commanded, so did Mosheh; and Aharon laid it up before the Testimony, to keep.
PAL	16:34	As the Lord commanded Mosheh, so did Aharon lay it up before the testimony to be kept.


EXODUS 16:35
JPS	16:35	And the children of Israel did eat the manna forty years, until they came to a land inhabited; they did eat the manna, until they came unto the borders of the land of Canaan.
ONK	16:35	And the children of Israel ate the manna forty years, until they came to the land inhabited; they did eat the manna till they came to the confines of the land of Kenaan.
PAL	16:35	And the children of Israel ate the manna forty years, until they came to an inhabited land: manna did they eat forty days after his death, until they had passed the Jordena, and entered upon the borders of the land of Kenaan.


EXODUS 16:36
JPS	16:36	Now an omer is the tenth part of an ephah.
ONK	16:36	And one omera is the tenth of three seahs.
PAL	16:36	And a homera is one tenth of three seahs.
