Isaiah 49:5 JPS 49:5 And now saith the LORD That formed me from the womb to be His servant, To bring Jacob back to Him, And that Israel be gathered unto Him— For I am honourable in the eyes of the LORD, And my God is become my strength— TJBU 49:5 And now, saith the Lord, that formed me from the womb to be a perfect servant before Him, to make the house of Jacob to return to His service, and Israel shall be brought to fear Him and we shall be glorious before the Lord; and the Word of my God shall be my support. Isaiah 49:6 JPS 49:6 Yea, He saith: 'It is too light a thing that thou shouldest be My servant To raise up the tribes of Jacob, And to restore the offspring of Israel; I will also give thee for a light of the nations, That My salvation may be unto the end of the earth.' TJBU 49:6 And He said, Is it too little for you that ye should be called my servants, to raise up the tribes of Jacob, and to bring back the captivity of Israel? Yea, I will give thee for a light to the nations, to be my salvation unto the ends of the earth. Isaiah 49:7 JPS 49:7 Thus saith the LORD, The Redeemer of Israel, his Holy One, To him who is despised of men, To him who is abhorred of nations, To a servant of rulers: Kings shall see and arise, Princes, and they shall prostrate themselves; Because of the LORD that is faithful, Even the Holy One of Israel, who hath chosen thee. The prophet said to her, Yea, these things shall be forgotten. And she said to him, If there is forgetfulness with Him, perhaps it will be forgotten that I said on Sinai: We will do and obey? He answered and said to her: My Word shall not cast you off. Isaiah 49:16 JPS 49:16 Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of My hands; Thy walls are continually before Me.
