Isaiah 62:1
JPS 62:1 For Zion's sake will I not hold My peace, And for Jerusalem's sake I will not rest, Until her triumph go forth as brightness, And her salvation as a torch that burneth.
TJBU 62:1 Till I work salvation for Zion, I will give no rest to the nations, until I bring consolation to Jerusalem, I will give no rest to the kingdoms, till her light be revealed as the early dawn, and her salvation shall bum as a lamp.
 
Isaiah 62:2
JPS 62:2 And the nations shall see thy triumph, And all kings thy glory; And thou shalt be called by a new name, Which the mouth of the LORD shall mark out.
TJBU 62:2 And the Gentiles shall see thy righteousness, and all kings thy glory: and they shall call thee by a new name, which the Word of the Lord shall declare.
 
Isaiah 62:3
JPS 62:3 Thou shalt also be a crown of beauty in the hand of the LORD, And a royal diadem in the open hand of thy God.
TJBU 62:3 Ye shall be a crown of joy before the Lord, and a diadem of glory before thy God.
 
Isaiah 62:4
JPS 62:4 Thou shalt no more be termed Forsaken, Neither shall thy land any more be termed Desolate; But thou shalt be called, My delight is in her, And thy land, Espoused; For the LORD delighteth in thee, And thy land shall be espoused.
TJBU 62:4 Thou shalt no more be termed Forsaken; neither shall thy land any more be termed Desolate: but thou shalt be called Abeday Reoothee Bahh, and thy land Inhabited: for the Lord shall delight in thee, and thy land shall be inhabited.
 
Isaiah 62:5
JPS 62:5 For as a young man espouseth a virgin, So shall thy sons espouse thee; And as the bridegroom rejoiceth over the bride, So shall thy God rejoice over thee.
TJBU 62:5 For as a young man dwelleth with a virgin, thus thy sons shall dwell in thee: and as the bridegroom rejoiceth over the bride, so shall thy God rejoice over thee.
 
Isaiah 62:6
JPS 62:6 I have set watchmen Upon thy walls, O Jerusalem, They shall never hold their peace Day nor night: 'Ye that are the LORD'S remembrancers, Take ye no rest,
TJBU 62:6 Behold, the works of thy righteous fathers, O city of Jerusalem, are right, and kept by me all the day and all the night, continually; the remembrance of thine excellencies is declared before the Lord, it shall not fail you.
 
Isaiah 62:7
JPS 62:7 And give Him no rest, Till He establish, And till He make Jerusalem A praise in the earth.'
TJBU 62:7 Their remembrance shall not cease from before Him, till He establish and make Jerusalem a praise in the earth.

JPS 62:8 The LORD hath sworn by His right hand, And by the arm of His strength: Surely I will no more give thy corn To be food for thine enemies; And strangers shall not drink thy wine, For which thou hast laboured;
TJBU 62:8 The Lord hath sworn by His right hand, and by the arm of His strength, I will no more give thy corn to be food for thy enemies; and the sons of the Gentiles shall not drink thy wine, for the which thou hast laboured.
 
Isaiah 62:9
JPS 62:9 But they that have garnered it shall eat it, And praise the LORD, And they that have gathered it shall drink it In the courts of My sanctuary.
TJBU 62:9 But they that gather the corn, they shall eat it, and offer praise before the Lord; and they that tread out the wine, they shall drink it in the courts of my holiness.
 
Isaiah 62:10
JPS 62:10 Go through, go through the gates, Clear ye the way of the people; Cast up, cast up the highway, Gather out the stones; Lift up an ensign over the peoples.
TJBU 62:10 O prophets, pass through and return through the gates; turn the heart of the people into the right way; bring good tidings of good things, and consolations to the righteous, who re move the thoughts of an evil imagination, which are like a stone of stumbling; lift up a standard for the people.
 
Isaiah 62:11
JPS 62:11 Behold, the LORD hath proclaimed Unto the end of the earth: Say ye to the daughter of Zion: 'Behold, thy salvation cometh; Behold, His reward is with Him, And His recompense before Him.'
TJBU 62:11 Behold, the Lord hath proclaimed unto the ends of the world, Say ye to the congregation of Zion, Behold, thy Redeemer shall be revealed; Behold, the reward for them that do His word is with Him: and all their works are manifest before Him.
 
Isaiah 62:12
JPS 62:12 And they shall call them The holy people, The redeemed of the LORD; And thou shalt be called Sought out, A city not forsaken.
TJBU 62:12 And they shall call them, The holy people, The redeemed' of the Lord: and thou shalt be called Teviatha, (i. e. "Sought out,'') A city not forsaken.
