Isaiah 45:1
JPS 45:1 Thus saith the LORD to His anointed, To Cyrus, whose right hand I have holden, To subdue nations before him, And to loose the loins of kings; To open the doors before him, And that the gates may not be shut:

Isaiah 45:2

TJBU 45:8 Let the heavens drop down from above, and the clouds flow with good, let the earth open itself, and the dead live, and let righteousness be revealed together; I the Lord have created them.

JPS 45:9 Woe unto him that striveth with his Maker, As a potsherd with the potsherds of the earth! Shall the clay say to him that fashioned it: 'What makest thou?' Or: 'Thy work, it hath no hands'?
TJBU 45:9 Woe to him who thinks of striving against the words of his Creator, and trusts that the images of a potter shall do him good, which are made out of the dust of the earth. Is it possible, that the clay could say to him that worketh it, Thou hast not made me? or thy work, He hath no hands?
 
Isaiah 45:10
JPS 45:10 Woe unto him that saith unto his father. 'Wherefore begettest thou?' Or to a woman: 'Wherefore travailest thou?'
TJBU 45:10 Woe to him that saith to his father, What begettest thou? and to his mother, What hast thou brought forth?

JPS 45:11 Thus saith the LORD, The Holy One of Israel, and his Maker: Ask Me of the things that are to come; Concerning My sons, and concerning the work of My hands, command ye Me.

TJBU 45:12 It is I who have made the earth by my Word, and I have created man upon it; it is I who have suspended the heavens by my power, and I have laid the foundation of all the hosts of them.

JPS 45:13 I have roused him up in victory, And I make level all his ways; He shall build My city, And he shall let Mine exiles go free, Not for price nor reward, Saith the LORD of hosts.

Isaiah 45:16
JPS 45:16 They shall be ashamed, yea, confounded, all of them; They shall go in confusion together that are makers of idols.
TJBU 45:16 They shall be ashamed and confounded, all of them: the worshippers of images shall walk in confusion.
 
Isaiah 45:17
JPS 45:17 O Israel, that art saved by the LORD with an everlasting salvation; Ye shall not be ashamed nor confounded world without end.
TJBU 45:17 Israel shall be saved by the Word of the Lord with an everlasting salvation: ye shall not be ashamed nor confounded for ever, yea, for ages after ages.

JPS 45:18 For thus saith the LORD that created the heavens, He is God; That formed the earth and made it, He established it, He created it not a waste, He formed it to be inhabited: I am the LORD, and there is none else.
TJBU 45:18 For thus saith the Lord that created the heavens; He who laid the foundation of the earth and made it, is God; He formed it. He created it not in vain; but He formed it, that the sons of man should multiply upon it. I am the Lord, and there is none else.

JPS 45:21 Declare ye, and bring them near, Yea, let them take counsel together: Who hath announced this from ancient time, And declared it of old? Have not I the LORD? And there is no God else beside Me, A just God and a Saviour; There is none beside Me.

Isaiah 45:24
JPS 45:24 Only in the LORD, shall one say of Me, is victory and strength; Even to Him shall men come in confusion, All they that were incensed against Him.
TJBU 45:24 Surely, He has promised to bring me right eousness and strength by the Word of the Lord. In His Word they shall offer praise, and all the nations that are incensed against His people shall be ashamed.

JPS 45:25 In the LORD shall all the seed of Israel Be justified, and shall glory.
