Numbers 32:1
JPS 32:1 Now the children of Reuben and the children of Gad had a very great multitude of cattle; and when they saw the land of Jazer, and the land of Gilead, that, behold, the place was a place for cattle,
ONK 32:1 Now the sons of Reuben and the sons of Gad possessed much cattle, exceedingly many; and they saw the land of Jazer and the land of Gilead, and, behold, the region was a place fit for folds of cattle.

Numbers 32:4
JPS 32:4 the land which the LORD smote before the congregation of Israel, is a land for cattle, and thy servants have cattle.'
ONK 32:4 the land which the Lord smote before the congregation of Israel, is a country fitted for cattle folds, and thy servants have cattle.

JPS 32:5 And they said: 'If we have found favour in thy sight, let this land be given unto thy servants for a possession; bring us not over the Jordan.'

Numbers 32:9

Numbers 32:11
JPS 32:11 Surely none of the men that came up out of Egypt, from twenty years old and upward, shall see the land which I swore unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob; because they have not wholly followed Me;
ONK 32:11 If the men who have come out of Mizraim, from twenty years old and upward, shall see the land which I covenanted to Abraham, to Izhak, and to Jakob; for they have not been wholly after my fear.
PAL 32:11 If these men who came out of Mizraim from twenty years old and upward shall see the land which I covenanted to Abraham, Izhak, and Jakob, because they have not fully (walked) according to My fear;
 
 
Numbers 32:12
JPS 32:12 save Caleb the son of Jephunneh the Kenizzite, and Joshua the son of Nun; because they have wholly followed the LORD.
ONK 32:12 Only Kaleb bar Jephuneh, the Kenezite, and Jehoshua bar Nun, for they have been wholly after the fear of the Lord.
PAL 32:12 except Kaleb bar Jephunneh the Kenezite, and Jehoshua bar Nun, for they have fully (walked) after the fear of the Lord.
 
 
Numbers 32:13
JPS 32:13 And the LORD'S anger was kindled against Israel, and He made them wander to and fro in the wilderness forty years, until all the generation, that had done evil in the sight of the LORD, was consumed.
ONK 32:13 And the Lord's anger was strong against Israel, and he made them linger in the wilderness forty years, until all the generation that did wickedly before the Lord had been consumed.
PAL 32:13 And the anger of the Lord was moved against Israel, and He made them wander in the wilderness forty years, until all that generation which did evil before the Lord have been consumed.
 
 
Numbers 32:14
JPS 32:14 And, behold, ye are risen up in your fathers' stead, a brood of sinful men, to augment yet the fierce anger of the LORD toward Israel.
ONK 32:14 And, behold, you have risen up after your fathers, the disciples of the men of sin, to add yet to the fierce displeasure of the Lord against Israel.
PAL 32:14 And, behold, you are risen up after your fathers, disciples of wicked men, to increase yet the anger of the Lord against Israel.
JER 32:14 You have multiplied the men of sin yet to increase the strength of His displeasure.
 
Numbers 32:15
JPS 32:15 For if ye turn away from after Him, He will yet again leave them in the wilderness; and so ye will destroy all this people.'
ONK 32:15 For if you turn again from (following) after His service, He will yet make you remain in the wilderness, and you will destroy all this people.
PAL 32:15 For if you go back from fearing Him, He will still make them abide in the wilderness, and so will you destroy all this people.
 
 
Numbers 32:16
JPS 32:16 And they came near unto him, and said: 'We will build sheepfolds here for our cattle, and cities for our little ones;

Numbers 32:17
JPS 32:17 but we ourselves will be ready armed to go before the children of Israel, until we have brought them unto their place; and our little ones shall dwell in the fortified cities because of the inhabitants of the land.
ONK 32:17 and we will go forth eagerly, armed, before the sons of Israel, to bring them into their place; and our families shall abide in cities defenced against the inhabitants of the land:
PAL 32:17 but we will go armed among the sons of Israel until we have brought them into their place: but our families shall dwell in towns defended against the inhabitants of the land.
JER 32:17 In cities fortified against the (former) masters of the land.
 
Numbers 32:18
JPS 32:18 We will not return unto our houses, until the children of Israel have inherited every man his inheritance.
ONK 32:18 nor will we return to our homes till the sons of Israel shall possess every man his inheritance.

Numbers 32:19
JPS 32:19 For we will not inherit with them on the other side of the Jordan, and forward, because our inheritance is fallen to us on this side of the Jordan eastward.'

JPS 32:21 and every armed man of you will pass over the Jordan before the LORD, until He hath driven out His enemies from before Him,

JPS 32:22 and the land be subdued before the LORD, and ye return afterward; then ye shall be clear before the LORD, and before Israel, and this land shall be unto you for a possession before the LORD.
ONK 32:22 and the land have been subdued before the Lord's people, then afterward you shall return, and be guiltless before the Lord and with Israel, and this land shall be to you for an inheritance before the Lord.
PAL 32:22 and the land be subdued before the people of the Lord, then afterwards you shall return, and be acquitted before the Lord and by Israel; and this land shall be yours for an inheritance before the Lord.
 
 
Numbers 32:23
JPS 32:23 But if ye will not do so, behold, ye have sinned against the LORD; and know ye your sin which will find you.
ONK 32:23 But if you do it not, behold, you have sinned before the Lord; and know, that your sin will find you.
PAL 32:23 But if you will not perform this, behold, ye will have sinned before the Lord your God, and know that your sin will meet you.

JPS 32:24 Build you cities for your little ones, and folds for your sheep; and do that which hath proceeded out of your mouth.'

JPS 32:26 Our little ones, our wives, our flocks, and all our cattle, shall be there in the cities of Gilead;

JPS 32:27 but thy servants will pass over, every man that is armed for war, before the LORD to battle, as my lord saith.'

PAL 32:27 but thy servants will go over, every one armed for the host, before the people of the Lord to the war, as my lord hath said.

JPS 32:28 So Moses gave charge concerning them to Eleazar the priest, and to Joshua the son of Nun, and to the heads of the fathers' houses of the tribes of the children of Israel.
ONK 32:28 And Mosheh commanded concerning them Elazar the priest, and Jehoshua bar Nun, and the chief fathers of the tribes of the Beni Israel.
PAL 32:28 And Mosheh commanded concerning them Elazar the priest, and Jehoshua bar Nun, and the heads of the tribes of the Beni Israel,

JPS 32:29 And Moses said unto them: 'If the children of Gad and the children of Reuben will pass with you over the Jordan, every man that is armed to battle, before the LORD, and the land shall be subdued before you, then ye shall give them the land of Gilead for a possession;
ONK 32:29 And Mosheh said to them, If the sons of Gad and of Reuben pass over the Jordan with you, all armed for war, before the Lord's people, and the land be subdued before you, then shall you give them the land of Gilead for a possession.
PAL 32:29 and said to them: If the sons of Gad and of Reuben go over the Jordan with you, every one armed for the war, before the people of the Lord, and the land be subdued before you, then shall you give to them the land of Gilead for a possession.

JPS 32:30 but if they will not pass over with you armed, they shall have possessions among you in the land of Canaan.'

JPS 32:33 And Moses gave unto them, even to the children of Gad, and to the children of Reuben, and unto the half-tribe of Manasseh the son of Joseph, the kingdom of Sihon king of the Amorites, and the kingdom of Og king of Bashan, the land, according to the cities thereof with their borders, even the cities of the land round about.
ONK 32:33 And Mosheh gave to them, to the sons of Gad, and to the sons of Reuben, and to the half tribe of Menasheh bar Joseph, the kingdom of Sihon king of the Amoraah, and the kingdom of Og the king of Mathanan,(58) the land with the cities thereof in the coasts, (even) the cities of the country round about.
PAL 32:33 And Mosheh gave to them, the sons of Gad and of Reuben, and to the half tribe of Menasheh bar Joseph, the kingdom of Sihon king of the Amoraee, and the kingdom of Og king of Mathnan, the land with its cities by the limits of the cities of the land round about.
