GENESIS 13:1
JPS 13:1 And Abram went up out of Egypt, he, and his wife, and all that he had, and Lot with him, into the South.
ONK 13:1 And Abram went up from Mizraim, he and his wife, and all that he had, and Lot with him, unto the south.
PAL 13:1 And Abram went up from Mizraim, he and his wife (and) all that he had; and Lot with him, to go to the south.
 
GENESIS 13:2

GENESIS 13:4
JPS 13:4 unto the place of the altar, which he had made there at the first; and Abram called there on the name of the LORD.

GENESIS 13:5

GENESIS 13:6
JPS 13:6 And the land was not able to bear them, that they might dwell together; for their substance was great, so that they could not dwell together.

GENESIS 13:7
JPS 13:7 And there was a strife between the herdmen of Abram's cattle and the herdmen of Lot's cattle. And the Canaanite and the Perizzite dwelt then in the land.
ONK 13:7 And there was contention between the shepherds of the flock of Abram and the shepherds of the flock of Lot; and the Kenaanah and the Pherizaah then dwelt in the land.
PAL 13:7 And contentions arose between the shepherds of Abram's flock, and the shepherds of the flocks of Lot; for the shepherds of Abram had been instructed by him not to go among the Kenaanaee and the Pherizaee, who, as yet, had power in the land, and to restrain the cattle that they should make no depredation in going to the place of their pasture: but the shepherds of Lot would go and feed in the grounds of the Kenaanaee and Pherizaee who yet dwelt in the land.
JER 13:7 And there was strife between the shepherds of Abram's cattle and the shepherds of the cattle of Lot. The shepherds of Abram restrained their beasts until the time of their coming to the place of their pasture; but the shepherds of Lot did not restrain their beasts, but turned them free, and went. But Abram's shepherds had been instructed by Abram their righteous master, Go not to the Kenaanaee and Pherizaee; for as yet they have possession in the land.
 
GENESIS 13:8
JPS 13:8 And Abram said unto Lot: 'Let there be no strife, I pray thee, between me and thee, and between my herdmen and thy herdmen; for we are brethren.
ONK 13:8 And Abram said to Lot, Let there not now be contention between me and thee, and between my shepherds and thy shepherds; for men, brethren, are we.
PAL 13:8 And Abram said to Lot, Between me and thee let there not now be controversy, nor between my shepherds and thy shepherds; for we are brother-men.
 
GENESIS 13:9
JPS 13:9 Is not the whole land before thee? separate thyself, I pray thee, from me; if thou wilt take the left hand, then I will go to the right; or if thou take the right hand, then I will go to the left.'
ONK 13:9 Is not all the land before thee? Separate now from me: if thou to the north, I to the south; and if thou to the south, I to the north.

GENESIS 13:10
JPS 13:10 And Lot lifted up his eyes, and beheld all the plain of the Jordan, that it was well watered every where, before the LORD destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah, like the garden of the LORD, like the land of Egypt, as thou goest unto Zoar.
ONK 13:10 And Lot lifted up his eyes, and saw all the plain of Yardena that it was altogether a watered place,—before the Lord had destroyed Sedom and Amorah,—as the garden of the Lord, as the land of Mizraim coming unto Zoar.
PAL 13:10 And Lot uplifted his eyes towards (the place of) fornication; and beheld all the plain of Jardena that it was altogether well watered,(37) before the Lord in his wrath had destroyed Sedom and Amorah; a land admirable for trees, as the garden of the Lord, and for fruitage, as the land of Mizraim as thou goest up to Zoar.
 
GENESIS 13:11
JPS 13:11 So Lot chose him all the plain of the Jordan; and Lot journeyed east; and they separated themselves the one from the other.
ONK 13:11 And Lot chose to him all the plain of Yardena; and Lot went forth before, and they were separated each man from his brother.
PAL 13:11 And Lot chose to him all the plain of Jardena; and Lot journeyed from the east, and they separated the one man from his brother.
 
GENESIS 13:12
JPS 13:12 Abram dwelt in the land of Canaan, and Lot dwelt in the cities of the Plain, and moved his tent as far as Sodom.
ONK 13:12 Abram dwelt in the land of Kenaan, and Lot dwelt in the cities of the plain, and extended unto Sedom.
PAL 13:12 Abram dwelt in the land of Kenaan, and Lot dwelt in the towns of the plain, and spread his tabernacle towards Sedom.
 
GENESIS 13:13
JPS 13:13 Now the men of Sodom were wicked and sinners against the LORD exceedingly.
ONK 13:13 And the men of Sedom were wicked in their riches, and guilty in their bodies before the Lord greatly.
PAL 13:13 And the men of Sedom were depraved in their wealth one with another, and they sinned in their bodies; they sinned with open nakedness, and the shedding of innocent blood, and practised strange worship, and rebelled greatly against the name of the Lord.
 
GENESIS 13:14
JPS 13:14 And the LORD said unto Abram, after that Lot was separated from him: 'Lift up now thine eyes, and look from the place where thou art, northward and southward and eastward and westward;
ONK 13:14 And the Lord said to Abram, after Lot was separated from him, Lift up now thine eyes and see, from the place where thou art, thence to the north and to the south, and to the east and to the west;
PAL 13:14 And the Lord said to Abram, after that Lot had separated from him, Lift up now thine eyes, and look, from the place where thou art, to the north and to the south, to the east and to the west:
 
GENESIS 13:15
JPS 13:15 for all the land which thou seest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed for ever.

GENESIS 13:16
JPS 13:16 And I will make thy seed as the dust of the earth; so that if a man can number the dust of the earth, then shall thy seed also be numbered.
ONK 13:16 And I will place thy children numerous as the dust of the earth; so that as it is not possible for a man to number the dust of the earth, so also thy sons shall not be numbered.
PAL 13:16 And I will make thy sons manifold as the dust of the earth, as that, as it is impossible for a man to number the dust of the earth, so also it shall be impossible to number thy sons.
 
GENESIS 13:17
JPS 13:17 Arise, walk through the land in the length of it and in the breadth of it; for unto thee will I give it.'

GENESIS 13:18
JPS 13:18 And Abram moved his tent, and came and dwelt by the terebinths of Mamre, which are in Hebron, and built there an altar unto the LORD.
ONK 13:18 And Abram spread (his tent), and came and dwelt in the plain of Mamre which is near Hebron,(63) and builded there an altar before the Lord.
PAL 13:18 And Abram stretched his tent (and made folds) for oxen and sheep, and came and dwelt in the vale of Mamre which is in Hebron, and builded there an altar before the Lord.
